The knitwear is much cheaper than costly cashmere jumpers

The weather is currently as unpredictable as can be expected in London so layering is key. A cashmere jumper would be the perfect solution to throw on over a t-shirt, however they often come with a hefty price tag.

Luckily, some high-street brands offer soft jumpers that have that cashmere feeling without the huge expense. New Look's latest offering is an Off White Knit Crew Neck Jumper that costs just £19.99.

The shop shared the knitwear to its three million Instagram followers, calling it perfect for "grey summer days." What's more, the jumper has exclusively five-star reviews on the New Look website.

The high-street store shared the post with the caption: "@alexxcoll serving up outfit inspo for these grey summer days – which is your favourite look? #NewLook #ThatNewLookFeeling."

The jumper is available in seven different colours, in sizes S to XL. It has five-star reviews from shoppers online, with fans claiming it is "super soft."

One shopper said: "Really nice jumper. Fits nicely and is super soft." Another reviewer wrote: "Lovely jumper! Really good quality and nice and soft. Exactly what I was looking for for this coming autumn."

A third person commented: "Pleased with this jumper. It’s soft and seems well made. No idea how well it will wear or wash but it is a good basic for autumn winter."

Finally, a New Look shopper said: "Nice colour, good quality and fit. Worth buying, already have two in different colours." The jumper costs £19.99 which is a far cry from the costly price tags of pure cashmere knitwear.

For instance, the M&S Pure Cashmere Roll Neck Jumper in a similar colour costs £95. It is available in six colours and comes in sizes 6-24.

Shoppers said: "Perfect. Beautiful quality. Great fit. Not to bulky." While another loved the quality, writing: "A very good quality classic cashmere polo neck."

However, others expected the jumper to be less lightweight. One M&S fan said: "It’s a lovely neutral colour (oatmeal) could have been a bit thicker but maybe with washing might thicken."
